CITAZIONE
Lionsgate has moved up Katherine Heigl summer comedy "One For the Money" from its originally slotted July 8 release date to June 3.

The move is meant to position "Money," on a better counterprogramming date, launching alongside 20th Century Fox's fanboy tentpole "X-Men: First Class."

In its original date, "Money" would have been the third-slotted comedy, competing against Sony's Kevin James starrer "The Zookeeper" and Seth Gordon-helmed "Horrible Bosses," from Warner Bros.

Based on the popular tome by Janet Evanovich, "Money" centers on a down-and-out woman (Heigel) who takes a last-ditch job working for her cousin's bail bond business, and her biggest client turns out to be her high-school heartbreaker. Pic co-stars Jason O'Mara, John Leguizamo and Debbie Reynolds.

"Money," directed by Julie Anne Robinson from a script by Liz Brixius, should have more room to breathe in its new date, especially appealing to a mostly female crowd. Though "X-Men" likely will attract a broad demo, its core aud will be male-driven.
